Working on a hard decision.. I'm in my 2WW, and I've been working out a lot in the last year, and the last 2 weeks I cut back my calorie burns. Well I'm 5DPO, and one of the challenges I'm in wants me to do Box Jumps, and I really don't think this will be good for my chances of implantation.. It's a really jarring exercise, and I don't want to take any chances. I've gone from 1000 calorie burns a day down to 500 calorie burns just to ovulate. Just keep in mind I'm 243.8 pounds (Lost 60 pounds in a year), have PCOS, and am missing half a lung... Besides that I love working out. We have been trying to conceive since January 2012..... Any opinions of what I should do?

    To be honest, this is really a question for your specialist. I would follow whatever their suggestions are! Best of luck!

    I have no idea what 2WW is, or what 5DPO means. So. I don't think I'll be very helpful. HOWEVER, I'm in the same challenge you are (I think!). If you feel that it will affect your chances of implantation DO NOT DO THEM. Seriously. Are we on the same team for this challenge? (I'm on the MV team.) If yes, I'll do extra box jumps for you. If not, mwahahahah, go DOWN other team!! Ha. :) Just joshin'!!

    Talk with your doctor. I have a friend who has been trying to conceive and her doctor has given her a list of exercises to avoid as they could cause complications with the implantation. Combine that with your other health problems and I think your doctor is really the only person you should be asking for advice.

    Challenges are great, to a point. Only go as far as you need to while maintaining good health and form. If this exercise will end up hurting you then I say: No go.

    Blessings. :)

    I know when people have a miscarrage its always said that it wasnt anything the mother did. But all I'm going to say is the only baby I lost wasfrom the pregnancy that I exercised.(lifted weights) The other 4 pregnancies I did not and I did not lose them. Who knows? But why chance it? ITs just not worth it.

    Of course you will hear about the people who work out and everything was fine. Even run marathons. You have to do what you think is right for you.

    Have some nookie and just carry on exercising. Bring it down a bit when you actually fall pregnant. I nearly passed out on the cross trainer when I was 6 weeks pregnant (didnt know) and I was about 225lbs then. Also I have 1 ovary from having a massive ovarian cyst removed (slightly different I know PCOS comes with more problems) so if my lonely ovary can do it then I'm sure yours can hun. Good luck.

    P.S stop counting and getting and all obsessed with when you ovulate etc. Just get humping!!! xxx

    2WW = two week wait after ovulation before she can test
    5DPO = 5 days past ovulation

    I think :)

    and to the OP - my OBGYN said to continue exercise as normal, but not to do anything new. I've been doing Insanity so she said I was fine to do that - we just started TTC though so I'm not sure yet if it's negatively affecting me or not! You may want to stick with what you've been doing and not add anything new, especially if your gut says to avoid it. Just modify with something else - I'm sure the others in the challenge will understand.

    2WW - Two Week Wait. 5DPO means 5 Days Past Ovulation. We are in the same challenge, but I'm on a different team. You're team keeps beating our team... I'm on the Uncatchables team.

    Cyggie just reminded me, it's been since January 2011, we've been trying for a second baby, so that makes 17 months.
