Okay, today was my visit with a dietician at my local hospital (where I work out in the cardiofitness center).
She says.......drumroll..........I am doing almost everything right!! YAY!!
The only thing she said was that I should up my daily calorie count to 1320 (100 calorie increase) and not get too worried about eating back my burns, unless I start to feel hungry or have low energy...I have been eating back anywhere from 1/2 to all my calories and I am still losing weight, so guess what that means to me???
I will probably not manually add the 100 calories at this time, but if I hit a plateau, I might up my count. I think at this time, I will continue eating back my calories if I can, but I am not gonna "sweat" it if I can't manage this once or twice a week.
In other words, I am gonna continue what I have been doing, as it has been relatively successful! YAY ME!!
One other thing she mentioned was my eating the sugar free Jello pudding and sugar free whipped cream. She seemed to think it would cause cravings because of artificial sweetners. She said she sees no harm in it, if it has not increased cravings (it hasn't) and not to worry about it too much if it has been working (so I won't because it has).
She also said not to worry about going over my sugar as long as fresh fruit is the culprit, because the dietary fiber in these, if over 5g, basically cancels the sugars out.
Okay! So, I guess I GOT THIS!!
GONNA KEEP ON DOING WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING (until or unless it no longer works) and keep working on my cardio for a bit longer, and make it to running a 5K by August!!
