Weight Vests-Anyone here use these?

I think they're great tools. The one my coach had allowed for adjusting the weight (little pockets with metal weight bars). The thing I liked about his (wish I could remember the make) was that it was thin and not bulky. Great way to add some weight while keeping the hands free.0

What are your goals?
I use one, a MIR vest with standard (non-Olympic) weight plates. I use it in conjunction with a stair-climbing, speed walking, and hiking for the purposes of functional lower body development.
At age 46, I'm finding it necessary to spread out these weight vest-assisted workouts, as the stress on my joints and connective tissues is significant.0 -
Sorry I dont have any experience with weight vest but I do a lot of hiking and hunting and can tell you even a loaded day pack can add whole different experience to a hike.0
