Readings: Polar HRM vs Polar-linked Fitness Equipment

Soooo (possibly a n00b) question. ^_^
I finally noticed in our clubhouse that the ellipticals and treadmills are polar-linked, meaning they link automatically to my polar HRM. Neat! I did however, notice that my calorie burns are different between what my HRM is recording (via the watch) and what the fitness equipment is recording. There's anywhere from a ~25-35 calorie variance.
The watch settings contain my age, height and weight...
The machine knows my weight, speed and distance...
Which calorie burn is the right one for me to log? o_o; Thanks!

Thanks. I figured it might be a no brainer. Was just making sure since technically, both the watch and the machine are linked to me. (Versus just using the machine cold without the linked HRM.)0
