Reading the "confessions" thread made me laugh, and made me feel good to confess, but I got to thinking... all of the good things that us MFP-ers are doing is worth sharing too!

Soooo... go ahead! Shout it from the roof tops!

Mine:
We got very bad thunderstorms here today, but I went running anyhow. Did couch to 5k week 1 day 2 and finished successfully despite the fact that it was raining cats and dogs, and I was running up hill

Go ahead... let us hear it! :flowerforyou:

I made it through Jillian Michaels Level 2 of the 30-Day Shred despite all of the freaking plank work. I've never had good upper body strength but today I made it!

My ankle was sore, and had major cramping in my other leg from yesterday's walk, but I pushed myself to go again today. I am sore as heck, and didn't burn as many calories, but I did go!

Great idea!! I feel great now. Way to go to everyone else too!

Back in 2003, I trained for and ran a marathon. After the race, I fell off the wagon and just kept gaining weight. Since joining MFP, I've been as consistent and dedicated to my workouts as I was when in training. I plan on putting 1500 miles on my bike this summer and doing a Century ride by fall...

I easily did internals of running with my walks for the last two days. I shaved 7 mins off my walk yesterday and 10 mins today and I love it.

So not true! You went running uphill in the rain and thunder! Most people would say, "Bummer, its raining." And in their head they would be screaming, "Yay!! I don't have to work out now!"

I finally got in to my doc's for my first weigh-in since starting MFP, and I'm down from 315 to 301.5, so it was a good day. 2 more pounds, and hopefully I'll never see the 300's again.

I'm a huge sweatin' to the oldies fan! Whenever I start a weight loss program, it's always my first choice for cardio.

    started my run walk earlier
    walked-jog-walked-sprint-walked between parking meters
instead of walking in place at a long stop light, i dropped to the ground, positioned my feet on the light pole and did crunches until the light changed at the (2) LONGEST stoplights.

and boy do i feel good:smooched: :smooched: :smooched:

I pushed myself pretty hard in the gym on the treadmill, even though my calves were sore from yesterday's HIIT resistance workout.

I also discovered how much sodium I was eating :noway: Holy Pita Bread! No wonder I've plateaued haha. Beware the 'Health Food' gimmick! I'm now cooking my own turkey for sammiches- plus bought some sodium free bread. Yay!

The sodium is ridiculous! I guess my brag is that I have been able to stay well under the sodium goal for the last month. That one used to be nearly impossible for me.

P.S. props for cooking your own turkey! I just stopped eating sandwiches.

Yesterday I did Couch to 5K week two training. I struggled, but I made it and felt very proud.

I have to brag on my DH here for a second. He did his 1st Sprint Triathalon on Saturday. He finished in 1 hr 46 min. I was so proud of him. And it was so motivating, I told him I'd get myself in shape and do it with him next year. I have my work cut for me. But I am pumped to work towards it.

I've worked out 6 days this week (last workout, I burned 700 calories according to my HRM) and managed NOT to get sunburned yesterday when we went to the beach.

Hey there! a birdy told me your hubby was in a Sprint Triathalon on Sunday? was it in Palatine Illinois by any chance? I did that one sunday. the swim was 700 yards, bike was 14 miles, and run was 4.9 miles. I did it in 1:45 I was just hoping to finish in less than 2 hours... lol that was my only goal... but it was my first one as well! it was interesting.. some of the guys that I raced against were in their 40's and they WHOOPED me good... some of them had very nice bikes and their transition times were super quick... my transition times sucked. :( but its really cool to know your hubby did his first! and HEY you learn something new right?

The one he did was in Warsaw, IN at Winona Lake. I just really loved the atmosphere. It was contagious. You couldn't be there and not want to be involved and feel motivated! Congrats on your first one! His goal was to finish in 1 hr 40 min. So he was within 6 minutes of his goal. It was great to see him finish! Since you're in IL, maybe we will run into you at an event.

I noticed that my cycling ticker didn't update itself from my earlier post in this thread (maybe because it's been a while?) I've gone 489miles since that post!!

I went for a 7km "Walk with the Dragon" today around the seawall at Stanley Park. It was a fundraiser for S.U.C.C.E.S.S., an organization that works in the Chinese community. The dragon was carried by some youngsters from a martial arts school. When we were about 2/3 through the walk they started to run :noway:

I couldn't keep up with that (few people could) but I finished the walk in about 1.5 hours.

I walked the dog for about 50 minutes and did oneof my 10 minute solution videos. I burned a total of 571 calories tonight. My goal was to hit my neighborhood 3 times and then do a DVD. I did it! I'm thinking about going to spin class in the morning. I haven't been in a WHILE, but i have to get back on track, Wish me luck!

I am actually eager to go to the gym to work out. It used to be difficult. Now I go to bed excited because I know when I wake up I get to work out!!
