Hey guys,
I am having a difficult time finding new things to eat and I am starting to get bored. I eat a lot of turkey sandwhiches, soup and salads for lunch, usually oatmeal or hungry girl's breakfast cookies for breakfast (both meals usually are on the go, sometimes I have access to a microwave for lunch). Dinner is usually chicken, veggies and toast, veggie chili or a turkey or boaca burger and rice. My snacks are usually grapes, fiber one bars, cherrios, pretzels, graham crackers, or some form of fruit. When I have desert it is usually graham crackers and chocolate pudding, canned pumpkin with brown sugar and cinnamon or popcorn. To make it more complicated I am extremley lactose intolerant so I can nat have dairy and I do not like red meat or eggs.
Anybody have any tips?
Than you!!:noway:

Try the recipie board. There is a lot over there that I have yet to try. I love making big salads with tons of stuff like avacados, apples, ect. I also made a sandwich with homemade guacamoli on a slice of toast, and topped it with sliced tomatoes and a dash of salt.
Play with spices too! You can make chicken taste different by using all kinds of spices!

Quorn Patties with Salsa Verde (Green Chili)
    Hummus and soy crackers
Guacamole, Ham(or turkey) wrapped in lettuce
Plain lowfat yogurt with granola and a tsp of honey (You can have yogurt as long as it has active cultures)
Breakfast smoothies with whey protein (breakfast on the go)
Good Health Veggie Chips or Stixs

I understand your issue. Hope some of these help.

I was going to suggest lasagna and pita pizzas...then I realized you couldn't eat either of them because of the cheese! It seems all of the good stuff has dairy.

There are so many foods out there and so many food sites you can go to for help with this. marthastewart.com, cookinglight.com, tablespoon.com, epicurean.com, foodnetwork.com, I could go on and on. Most of these websites allow you to pick and choose dietary options, or even certain fod items that you do like. For example you can type in the word zucchini and hundreds of recipes pop up. Everyone has food likes and dislikes and it doesn't take much of your time to pop onto some other sites and check out some new recipes.

I also like to go to the book store and flip through some cook books for ideas and I subscribe to two food magazines and every month I go through and pull out the recipes that look interesting, put them in a sheet protector and file in a binder and I rotate through old and new and when we find one as a family that we all like we keep it, or tweak it to our liking and now I have a book of favorites that are all healthy and the kids love too.

Now go to another site and start hunting out recipes that may satisfy your need for change

I got some "Original Zip Sauce" I don't mix it with butter or oil, I just steam some veggies and splash a little on and toss. It takes the boring out of everything!
I was bored with all the chicken and fish, then decided to become a vegetarian, talk about limiting my foods. But really I have opened doors that I never knew existed! I've found things to do with veggies that I never could have come up with on my own and I learned to use beans and Love it! Check out some South Beach Diet vegetarian recipes. They are super UN-boring! And delicious! Replace dairy with soy, tofu, and rice milk. Theres even something you can use in place of cheese for mac and cheese, but I can't think of what it is called. Check out Vegetariantimes.com They have great dairy free recipes!

You could also look at some ethnic cuisines. My daughter is a vegetarian and we found that Indian food has lots of great-tasting choices for both vegetarians and meat-eaters, including lots of chicken and seafood dishes. Tofu is a good substitute for paneer. Another option is Chinese food; stir-fry with whatever is on hand is easy, but there are many more dishes for every taste.

Of course there's always sushi; I never get tired of that.
