Get the shaft on mothers and fathers day! Just because I didn't give birth to my dog doesn't make me any less a parent and dang it all I want some recognition for what I do for my pup. :grumble:

    Thank you for posting this!!!!!!!! I have a malshepherd mix and he was given to me when hubby deployed in 2009. People don't see me as a parents because I don't have human babies and only furbabies.

    Amen to this! People kinda look down on me when they see i'm basically a housewife - But I look at it as a SAHM for my furbabies!! I spend more time with them than a lot of people do with their actual kids! (Scary...)

    I've bought my mum a mother's day card from them. (Dear Nanna...)


    And my Hubby always receives Father's day cards from them too!

    So true! I foster dogs for a local organization and I think of my adopted fosters as much of a success story as my kid's achievements!

    My Austrailian Sheppard/ Border Collie mix, Gracie, says Hi to all the Fur (skin and scales too) parents!!

    I have 3 old Golden Retrievers, and they have given me so much joy and uncondiitonal love. :smile: :heart:
