pinched nerve in my knee!!!!!

I was getting back on track eith exercising. Then my low left leg is numb feeling. So the Dr says its a pinched nerve in my knee. I do have pain. But dr says i can do whatever i want. So its really scary. I have had 2a knee surgery on that knee slready. Its just depressing. I have caught myself eating and wanting to eat like i use to. But I really dont want to .. help.!!! Im just pulling my hair out ....
