Having to record my meals and seeing what I'm eating has helped me a lot. With hard work and exercise I've lost 5 lbs this week. It's more than I plan to lose a week, but I'm not giving it back.

Isn't it amazing?? You have the power!! When I joined a year ago I was amazed to realize that I really did have the power to change my body, despite being so convinced otherwise! Congrats on your success so far! :drinker: The weight loss does slow down after the first couple of weeks but it's no less sweet to see those clothes getting too big!

When I see that you've lost 44lbs in the past year, it gives me hope that I can reach my 45lb goal by this time next year. I'm not looking for a miracle... just slow and steady

Isn't it amazing to learn our body isn't our enemy? We just didn't know how to work it right :)

    Way to go!

You can work WONDERS in a year. And (I'll sheepishly admit) the 53lbs I lost came off in the first 6 months. Over the holidays a few crept back on (though I learned SO MUCH for years to come!) and until the last week I've been gaining and losing the same few lbs until I finally really shook things up for myself. I'm looking forward to completing the second phase of my own loss but I did want to share with you that I lost over 50lbs in just under 6 months (healthfully!). That was over 1/2 my total to lose so keep it up and you'll do GREAT!!!

gkeatts, congrats on finding out the flaw so you could fix it!
