That's a myth assuming you're squatting fully or as fully as you can.

No my knees do not hurt. It is a challenge that you work up to 200 squats.

I started the sit ups yesterday as well and was considering ever doing pushups as well, but I may have to pass on push ups, not sure though.

Read it and I agree with the other poster; there is almost zero value in doing those. You'd be better off doing 30 - 60 minutes on a Stairmaster than doing 200 bodyweight squats. If you've never done any exercise and you start off with doing some bodyweight squats for the first week or two I could almost understand that, but not this.

Oh wow, maybe I will do it with barbell weights then

My trainer has me doing squats and she said to do them properly you dont use your knees. You use your butt and push from your heels.

As it is I already do 100-200 squats in sets of 25. Perhaps I could join in committing to no less then 200? I struggled for sometime because I've popped my knee out in the past and it's easy for it to become hurt again and I had to very actively learn to do squats the right way or else my knee would be in excruciating pain! You do not use your knee's to push back up that's for sure
