Hair!!

Alrighty! I figured this would be the best place to ask since I'm keeping my new hairstyle a surprise from everyone except my husband. I have fairly short hair, but it's grown out to the point I hate it. Right now it brushes my collar bones, and my bangs are way too long. I could just get a trim and re-style it, but I found some really cool short cuts that I'm debating. I guess my question is - how short is too short for someone with my body type?

I've only ever seen pixie cuts on very large women and very thin women. Never someone like me. I'm short and extremely curvy. By curvy, I mean real curves, not fat rolls. It bothers me when overweight women call themselves curvy, because then what are people like me supposed to be called? I'm nowhere near being a waif.

Anyway, I just wonder if there's a reason that girls of my stature generally have long hair.

I have long hair, its halfway down my back and i want it to grow past my boobs.
Not really a reason, I just love my hair. I feel naked without long hair.

I have no idea what your "stature" is because I can't tell from your pics. I think from your face, you'd probably look just fine with short hair!

I'm 5'2. Large chest, teeny waist, large hips. I guess I'm worried that the short hair could make me look pinheaded or something, since I've only ever seen the very thin girls pull it off well.

I'm not angry, just a little bothered. I think everyone should have a positive way of viewing themselves, and if larger women want to call themselves curvy, then by all means, they can do what they want. I just don't like it when people assume I'm large when I'm not. I'm not asking this to be insulted, either.
