Hit on or Flirted with?

Neighbor says to me: "Hey, hey come here, come here!!! If you lose anymore weight, I'm gonna have to come over there and steal you from your husband."

There was a bit of creepy factor to this one, and I'm not sure if I'm just out of practice... What do you think of my NSP (Non-Scale Peculiarity)... was he trying to flirt with me or was that a pick-up line.. ?

Omg... was that a pick-up line?

Flirting is when you say something to someone about "wanting" them. A pickup line is something made up that is repeated by people...example..."Wanna make like fabric softner and snuggle? ;)" or "Did it hurt when you fell from the sky? Because you are an angel!" Like that

i dont think there is much of a difference except flirting is less agressive then a pick up line.
flirting can be small things that are unnoticed sometimes. where a pick up line is like someone actually asking you to date/sleep etc with them.

Thats better than a couple asking my wife if her and I wanted to swing...

In your case, it was a flirt.

The weird thing is he obviously knows you're married... so I don't think he was actually hitting on you unless he has major courage lol I would say that was a strong flirtation/admiration... Some people have odd ways of complimenting others. But ****, either way you look AWESOME!!!!

Flirting is the soft sell way of "putting it out there". If you take it light, then it remains light. Pick up is more direct, more upfront and intentions are more clear. I think of flirting as grey while pick up is black and white. Your neighbour was flirting. If you replied you wouldn't mind being stolen, then the slightly ajar door is opened a little more. If you laughed it off, then the words fizzle and turn to dust. That's my 2 cents.
