So I have been going shopping forever it seems already and haven't really been able to find anything. Today in itself I went to Ross, Marshalls, and Old Navy. Its not that the stores don't have my size, its more that I'm thinking I'm bigger than I am. I can't find jeans cuz when I think I have there is too much material in the crotch area (how does that happen really?? lol) or they are too big even though they are the same size I just tried on. Well, go figure I go to WalMart and not only do I find jeans...in the junior section size 17...YAY!!!!! but i also find a pair of capris size 14...lately I am a size 16...misses not womans...I am so proud of myself but I was really getting discouraged. Finding these clothes really makes a big impact on me. I love that I am not fitting into my old clothes but it also creates frustration when I wear something for a few weeks and then got to get new stuff. Does anyone know how I feel? Its a mixed blessing. Just wanted to share my feelings. Thanks for listening.

  • Yes I do. I bought capris mid-May and by early June coworkers were telling me I shouldn't wear them anymore because it gave me poopybottoms  . So I went and bought another pair a size smaller, should have bought 2 sizes smaller, because now we're back to poopybottoms... I paid $50 a pair.

So YEAH, I feel your pain!!!
  • Just thought of something... I should send them to you. They are sizes equavilent to size 12-13, both now too big. At the rate you are going they should fit you in a week or two...

I completely understand. I went shopping for summer clothes and was worried that I would need to turn around and buy a new size before summer was over. I also had a coworker comment that my clothes were looking baggy and I told her I was in between sizes. I hate being in-between sizes.

ahhh! I know exactly how you feel. I went shopping today too because none of my clothes fit and it's like do i really want to buy these pants that aren't going to fit soon, but i can't keep my pants up now so i guess i kind of have to.

I just keep reminding myself that it's a good thing, even though right now it's kind of a burden.

    Keep up the good work!:flowerforyou:

Thanks everyone...really helps that you all understand. I love that I am now in the misses section...I don't remember if I ever was in the misses section. Such an accomplishment.

I feel the same way. I HATE buying new clothes and spending money I really don't have, only to have them get too big before I know it! :grumble: Sooo, I mostly buy stuff from a Salvation Army store these days. Capri's or pants that only cost a buck are alot easier to deal with when they get too big, than a pair that you've paid 20.00 or more for!
And, now a days, I put clothes in the dryer for the WHOLE time, trying to deliberately shrink them, where as, before, they were lucky to only see 6 or 8 minutes in the dryer!

I also feel the same way when I am loosing weight. Really can't afford to go out and buy new clothes for work everytime my clothes start to get baggy on me or I have to keep pulling them up. My friend suggested that I go to the thrift store or a resale shop. I did that just this past weekend and only spent a fraction of what I would have otherwise. So until I get to the size and weight that I want I will be going to the thrift store or retail shops to get my clothes.

Oh i have been thinking about that but when I go out shopping i completely forget about it. That is such a great idea though. Makes more sense and then you can re-donate them...it goes full circle.

I have the same problem. Especially shirts right now are hard for me to find. I am so used to going to the plus section i have no idea where the regular sections are and the sizes oh my. I am having a lot of problems finding clothes that fit and i am the same size as you right now 14-16 depending.
