A few weeks ago I was doing a fitness boot camp at the gym I was going to. While doing Mt Climbers I think is where its happened I have a sore spot on the back arch of my foot toward my heal. It doesnt really hurt when just walking, but if I exercise or try to exert myself it starts hurting... I looked online to try to find something and saw a few things, but its been like 3 weeks.. I dont want to go to the Dr because they will just tell me to rest.. any ideas?

Could be a minor case of plantar fasciitis. If that's what it is then stretch the calf and bottom of the foot, roll the foot on a bottle of ice and on a tennis or golf ball several times a day. Also take some ibruprofin to reduce inflammation.
I have this pain also. It is slow to heal.0 -
My podiatrist told me to wear my orthotics when that happens and make sure you stretch by stepping back and put pressure on the ball of your feet. It happens to me when I am on the arc trainer all the time now.0

Ahh - sorry to 'hijack' the thead, but I didn't want to pester people by starting another topic with the exact same title, haha.
I also have foot pain - but mine is on the top of the foot. For the past week it's been sore when I lift my toes (particularly the big toe). Today it's less painful but it's started 'creaking' (for lack of a better word' when I lift or point my toes (not the foot, just the toes).
Anyone got any ideas? I'm guessing it's a tendon thing... I have a 10k in three weeks and was wondering whether I'll be doing any damage to it if I continue to run.
Cheers, guys
P.S. - It doesn't hurt when I walk, but it's a bit uncomfortable when I run (not a sharp pain, though)0 -

Maybe have a look at how your runners are laced, maybe they are too tight and pressing down on a nerve. I found I had to use the gap lace. http://www.runnersworld.co.za/shoes-gear/shoe-essentials/how-to-lace-shoes/0 -

This is a really helpful thread. I hurt my heel and arch about four months ago, and I'm going to try some of the stretches and ice tips when I get home.0

I ended up with orthotics also - I tried to run through it. Fail, it just got worse. So if a podiatrist is possible, do consider it.. Also read up on heel spurs, which are a fun extra option if it is plantar fasciitus.0
