    OP,

Is there a reason you can't eat a meal for breakfast? Is it simply for the reason that you don't have time to make breakfast?

Protein shakes really should only be consumed if you are unable to consume your minimum protein macros via whole foods.

Whole foods ALWAYS first. Then shakes.

In powder form I like IDS Belgian Chocolate. It has a high absorption rate. I think it has 25g protein per scoop.
Or if I need something on the go I grab a 11 oz. Muscle Milk in Chocolate. This has 20 g of protein.

Both taste much better than other brands I've tried.

I do have to disagree with this. Even Dr. Oz recommends starting your day with a shake vs a meal. The body by vi shakes are VERY good for you, and full of protein. Def something you might want to to look into!! You of course still do healthy snacks, and 1-2 well balanced meals a day. Visalus shakes are 2pts for the powder (weight watchers) and 4pts with skim milk. Also, the visalus products are in myfitnesspal. Might be something to consider.

Dr. Oz is an idiot. I can't believe anyone takes him seriously.

    OP -

    1. Choose a shake for it's protein content and not all the other crap. (I like True Protein because you can customize it and they have eleventy million flavors) You do not need some pyramid scheme designer brand *cough* Visalus *cough* Shakeology *cough*

    2. Use it as a *supplement* and not as a meal replacement. You need FOOD first, extras later. You can always mix it into oatmeal or yogurt...

I love my Shaklee Cinch shakes. I'm really not a breakfast eater most days, but I can down a 1C serving of the shake. I'm doing a lot of strength training, too, so I often will have a serving after a workout. I can't remember the science behind it, but it's got some supplements in it that help your body preserve muscle while you lose weight.

That's reasonable - I used to be the same way. I had to train myself to eat breakfast. It used to give me heartburn if I ate first thing, but then again, that was probably related more the food choices than anything.

USN IGF-1 shakes are pretty good. I always put ice cubes in mine and shake - because a warm shake is not good!
