What this place needs is another peanut butter thread

I discovered about 6 months ago that my healthy low-cal choices were leaving me way low on fats so I added some nuts and measured servings of nut butters. It started innocently, organic peanut butter with nothing but the nuts, but that was just a gateway drug. Next it was almond butter. Then sunflower seed butter and cashew butter. Then honey and maple...it all began to spiral into a constant need for new flavors and exotic blends.

Hi. My name is Virginia and I'm a nut butter addict.

I can (and do) tightly control the portions and eat within my calories/macros, but I just can't stop. Honestly, I just don't want to stop. So it's either enter a 12 step program or drag the rest of you down with me...hmmm...which shall I choose???

Ever tried Nuttzo multi nut blend? https://gonuttzo.com/
Ingredients: Organic Peanuts, Organic Cashews, Organic Almonds, Organic Brazilian Nuts, Organic Sunflower Seeds, Organic Flax Seeds, Organic Hazelnuts, Kosher Salt.

They also have a peanut free blend with Chia seeds. Haven't tried that yet. And a dark chocolate.

I mentioned Vermont Peanut Butter in another thread: http://www.vtpeanutbutter.com/vermont_peanut_butter.php
The Maple Walnut and Cinnamon Raisin are to die for. Good Karma has dark chocolate, Avalanche has white chocolate. Green Mountain Goodness is my favorite - an almond and peanut butter blend with flax and pumpkin seeds - but Mad River Mojo is a close second - another almond and peanut butter blend, but with cranberries, flax and honey.

How about something completely different? I had tried almond and cashew butter, sunflower and pumpkin seed butter. But now, I'm about to discover the joys of pecan butter, walnut butter, brazil nut butter, halzelnut butter, macadamia butter and pistachio butter. In plain, honey roast or with dark or white chocolate.

Seriously. It's all right here: http://www.superiornutstore.com/peanut-butter-selection.html

Thanks for the info! You are so funny! I will have to keep this in mind for my maintenance stage. I love peanut butter and I would love to try a few of the ones you mentioned. Something to look forward to...

Oh, man, I LOVE peanutbutter! I'm good about buying the low-fat varieties, and I admit to not liking the almond or cashew butters. But peanutbutter is a staple for me - I always have a jar of it in my cupboard!

I gotta have the real stuff. I will eat less of the real stuff rather than more of the low fat stuff!

I can't believe anyone can not like cashew butter (OK, I can believe it, I just can't understand it LOL). It is so good I don't get it often!

I dunno what to tell you! I LOVE cashews themselves, but the butter didnt' grab me. As for the low-fat varieties, I think I just have unsophisticated taste buds - the regular and the low-fat taste the same to me, so I go for low-fat for my non-low-fat butt!

Get some almonds and make your own "Bit O Honey" candy. Good for hiking.
