Runners - Losing fitness whilst ill?

Well, with annoying predictability, I have a month to go before the 10k I'm training for and I've come down with a cold, or possibly a throat infection.
I'm guessing that there's no point in me even trying to do any running - but assuming that I can't do anything until Saturday that'll be a whole week without a run, am I likely to lose any fitness?
And if so, is there anything I can do whilst ill and stuck indoors to help keep my fitness up?

It takes about 3ish weeks to lose running fitness. That said...I usually run with a cold, as long as it's a head cold and not in my lungs.0

One week won't make a difference. And you'll probably be itching to run before a week is passed anyway.0

Trust me, I'm already itching to run! But I can tell my body's not really up to it.
I'll see how the next few days go...0
