I do three with what could be considered a larger snack or another meal in between my 12:30 lunch and my (preferred) 9-10pm dinner.
I also carry around a bag of food with me all day. It's laughable.0 -

1-2 rarely three, no snacks0

8am- whey protein shake and a banana
10:30am- protein bar and 8 oz. of skim or fat free milk (multivitamin, turmeric 500mg, fish oil
hit the gym- 100 cal burn on bike and then weight training
Recovery drink- Half scoop of whey protein, 1 teaspoon of creatine monohydrate, 8 ounces skim or fat free milk, 8 ounces of 1% low fat chocolate milk
12pm- 5 egg white omelete with 4 sliced baby bella mushrooms, 1 ounce chopped green onion, 2 ounces of 2% shredded cheese and a grapefruit
2:30pm- small mid day snack- handful of cashews/ 2 tablespoons of reduced fat peanut butter (something along those lines)
6pm- dinner (changes daily) usually around 400 cals
snack about 30 minutes before bed- usually around 300 cals
I drink water all day between meals and snacks

I have 5 per day. Smaller and calories spread out through them all. I'm diabetic, and trying to equalize my BG as well. So far in the two weeks it's been working for me.0
