Spaghetti measuring help...

Anyone know how to measure cooked spaghetti (rough estimate) without a scale? I'm having it over and someone's house tonight, and I want to be able to record an accurate amount in my food diary without pulling my food scale out of my purse at the dinner table:laugh: .
For example, I know that 3 ounces of steak is about the size of a deck of playing cards- anyone know any tricks like that for spaghetti? It's kind of difficult to picture a cup of spaghetti :ohwell: Thanks! :flowerforyou:

I would just straight out ask for a measuring cup and measure it that way. Also don't be ashamed to whip out your scale. If they are your friends they should be supporting your decision to lose weight.0

Hey!
I read on a 'portion size' website that your fist is approximately the same as a 1 cup measure, so you could eyeball it at dinner and put roughly 1/3 or 1/2 of "your fist" worth of pasta on your plate...then you'd have about 1 serving...
Good luck!

1 serving of pasta - 1/2 a cup - is about the size of a tennis ball. Enjoy your dinner!0

What the others say is accurate. Eyeball it, but above all have fun and enjoy the companionship.
Good Luck!0
