Juice Fasting / Detox Q's

So, I am wanting to do a juice fast. But I am only wanting to replace 2 meals a day with juice and eat one solid healthy meal a day. I plan on doing this for 21 days, but no more.

Has anyone ever done this sort of fast or one similar? I am doing it to kickstart my weightloss, detox, and to overall improve my health. I have lost weight exercising and counting calories with MFP, but I just dont feel GREAT. I know all the "fads" talk about fasts and I have done my research, but I want to hear from you on your experiences with this.

Thanks all!

Me and my wife have done it twice and are starting a 3rd go round as of today. With ours though , we lose solid food completely for the 1st week or two & then gradually add fresh veggies , homemade salsa w/ organic tortilla chips , some nuts (almonds/pistachios) etc. Then after the "Reboot" (For me it's usually around 60 days +/-)We slowly go back to solids ( veggie meats , veggies , fruits , chicken , fish , salads etc.) .

People who will tell you "you are not giving your body everything it needs" are full of it. If you do it right you will far exceed all of your vitamins/proteins/fiber etc. . You will lose out on most fats/ cholesterol , but if you are going for weight loss or just overall health . Imo , i don't see that as being a negative in the short term.

All in all i am down 40-43 lbs. & my wife 39-41 lbs. since July of '11 . The first week or two are the hardest , as you are just dying to get something "substantial" in your stomach. But once you get past the hunger pains & mental aspects it's easy as can be. It also seemed (for us at east) to have changed our taste buds/cravings , as what was not salty/sugary before will knock your socks off after.

Well worth it from our experiences so far.
