Go as the Green Lantern...you'll throw everyone off & think they're there to see a Justice League movie. Then you'll get great seats.

If I dress up as Pepper, will you adopt me and write me a note on Friday to miss work?
Pepper's not an Avenger, but I will accept Black Widow or Wasp.
I know she's not an Avenger. She's the hot secretary with mad organizational skills.
Alright. I'll take it. Pics will be required though.

I would suggest Fantastic 4...but those movies blew...

Even in the comic books, they never appealed to me.

I'm taking my wife and 8 year-old daughter to the midnight showing of "The Avengers" tomorrow night. Keeping the kid home from school the next day, and taking a day off of work. My kid's thrilled. Friday's are 1/2 days at school anyway, and they're going to do a lame field trip to see some creative dancing anyway.

    Now, the questions...

    1. Am I, indeed, the Father of the Year?

    2. Which Avenger should I dress up as? I'm a short, fat white guy in his mid-30's.

    1. Yep. And it was cheap too, considering the cost of a movie ticket to, oh, a Ferrari
    2. hulk. green with dark hair. cheap and easy

great movie. saw it last weekend. it's funny near the end when the hulk beats up the bad guy ROFLMAO.... oops, well you'll see it, i didn't give it away, not really, unless someone thought the bad guy was gonna win...?

EDIT - besides it's good you know, because you don't want to be eating while laughing and choke, that would be bad, i've almost choked many times watching Tosh.0

Go as the archer guy. I don't even know his name, how sad. Nobody else will be dressed up as archer guy.

I still like the Fury idea. Yes, he does have an incredible eye patch.

    1. No - I wouldn't want my Dad to think creative dance is lame... BUT I would definitely have loved it if he'd take me out of school to go see a movie I was really excited about (he never let us miss school for any reason).

    2. Uhm... yeah... go as a hobbit.

Creative dance, in and of itself, is not lame. When it comes to being a field trip, though, it is a lame choice. There are much better options out there, as far as bang for your buck educationally and culturally.

    1. No, that's me. I took my daughter to see that flick earlier tonight, jumped a massive queue by using the ticket machine instead of a person, took her for a slap up meal in Wagamama's, then a drink in her local village pub (she's 19), and stopped a falling meteorite^

    2. Hawkeye from MASH, just to be ironic.

(The only American comics I read as a child were DC - so nobody outshines Batman as far as I'm concerned. The jokes are funny in this film though).

^ I made the last one up

    1. Yes, awesome dad.
    2. Hulk or Thor :glasses:

Can't wait to see the movie myself. I have already bought tickets for Saturday night. (Can't go on Friday night I'll be at work)
Yay for going back on day shift Monday! :drinker:
