"The Angel"

Many thought she was an angel
On a mission to serve Him
The angel that touched everyone’s heart
Hearing the cry of the helpless, always
Ever only seeing His beauty in everything and everyone
Rejecting never, but lovingly embraced

The one who served the poorest of the poor
Ensured she led through example
Retreating in disgust, never
Every child’s cry quieted by her gentle touch
She never turned a blind eye, but chose to face the truth
Away she flew to Him above, once her days on this earth were done

Wasn’t long however before her words were forgotten
Away they all went, back to their bubbles once again
Somehow, abandoning the poor once more

Although, the words she left behind made it hard to stay blind

The seeds of compassion she planted in people’s hearts
Rooted, blossomed, and spread like wildfire
Under the LORD’S watchful eyes
Everyone started to regain their sight

An angel from above
Never did she wear a mask
Gently, opening our eyes
Etching His message into our heart
Let us love and live life like Mother Teresa

~Anonymous

I stumbled across this and thought I would share it because it has a good message, which is about not turning the blind eye to those who need help. Also, Mother Teresa is one of my daily inspirations :flowerforyou:

I thought it would be fun if everyone shared their favorite famous quote or share a favorite poem! Maybe we will all get some knew favorites

Oh, well! The thread didn't hit it off, but wanted to share this quote:
Opportunity is missed by most people
because it is dressed in overalls and
    looks like work.

    ~ Thomas Edison

^^ This is somewhat true today!
