OK, so I had my wedding dress fiting yesterday and things went well; pics on profile *not sure how to add them to a thred of messages..... however after the fiting I went crazy. Ate at TGIFridays following the appointment, pizza for dinner and snacked like crazy! Probably had like 2500 calories! LOL...

but what is a good plan to get back on now? I have 8 weeks before my wedding.

Anyone... help please????

Hey you had a good day...you rewarded yourself...no biggie, you deserved a splurge! Now to get back on track just do what you were doing before, don't let one splurge keep you from your goal! :flowerforyou:

I had pizza yesterday too! You can have any food you like it's just you need to count your calories. So maybe you didn't blow it after all:laugh:

You could reduce your bad carbs and eat lean chicken, fish & salads like body builders do to reduce the fat off your body. It's boring but doable. Stay away from fatty red meats, hotdogs etc. You could get gallstones from that.

Exercise each day from 30 minutes to a hour of cardio.

I remember when I got married (100 years ago) I lost weight from the stress of it all & running around booking the Harpist, Caterers, Linens etc.

You do fine....don't worry. Enjoy it all...the fun is in the Journey:drinker: :drinker:

Now then if only I could take my own advice:laugh:

thanks.... I have done Ok today so far. It's like starting over again...the first day seems to be soooooooooo rough.

I am just SOOOOOOOOO confused with what diet I should be on.
I don't really want to lose a TON more; maybe 5-10 lbs but I would like to tone up. I know working out will help; I do the SI6 video's (i need to do them more consistantly) but if I don't do that then I'm either playing with my two year old really hard & we've gone for a mile walk.

I'm just soooooooooo confused with the diet aspect! ANyone?????

You look gorgeous in your wedding dresss! So you fell off for one day. Recommit and start new. Today is a fresh day. In the scheme of things, one day isn't so bad. It's the repeated days that add up.

It takes 3500 calories OVER what MFP lists as your maintenance calories to gain a pound. So when you are at the maintenance calories or below, until you hit roughly the 1200 cals/day mark, you can lose weight. But that number is just a number on the scale. I've lost 2 sizes in the last 2 months and have not lost a pound, but have been working out and really focusing on toning. And it works.

The real point of the diet is - fuel your body with what it needs. So if you eat 1600 calories of junk food every day, sure, you're not eating tons but you are also not fueling your body with what it needs. So eat healthy, have a splurge now and then, pizza can be fine if you order the right kind, and watch your portions. No food is really off limits, but it's about trade-offs. If I have that molten chocolate lava cake, then I need to go work out for an hour. Ok, then do it, if it's worth the extra work. A lot of things I find are not worth it to me any more and I no longer crave those things.

Also watch your sodium intake, that can really affect your weight by you retaining water. And drink your water, it really does help flush out the system. Even when I've eaten things that were not the best for me, I drink lots of water, and it doesn't seem to affect too much.

If you think in terms of "diet" and "cheating" and "splurging" - you may fail at this. It's not about denying yourself things you really like, but about balance, in portion control, frequency, etc. Usually people think of diet as denying the things they like, and when they cheat or splurge, they go way overboard and undo all the good work they've done. But if you think of it as I'm eating healthy, making a lifestyle change, making sure I have balance in my life... then you will succeed long term.
