Losing weight (the wrong way), now I want to be healthy!

(I thought this was the most appropriate place to post this)
I just wanted to share how after having kids I lost weight, the wrong way, and now I want to be fit and healthy.
I went down to 109lbs last year by doing the 'eat when your hungry, stop when your satisified and eat whatever you want'. So straight away I was telling myself I wasn't hungry. I'd go all day with nothing to eat (maybe sometimes 1 slice of toast) and wait until later in the day when I would eat a full fat meal (usually take away). I thought this was the correct way to eat, as I'd convinced myself I wasn't hungry during the day and that it was fine to eat the junk food.
I loved it at the time, as I was eating what I wanted but the lbs were falling off, with little exercise.
One thing I see now when I look back, is that I was always tired and weak. And it strikes me now that I never linked my tiredness to the way I was eating.
Over christmas I put on a little weight (who doesn't?) but it wasn't until I stepped on the scales recently that I noticed I'd put on 12lb (from being 109lbs)... I instantly thought I would just go back to eating how I used to, until I found MFP. I started to read that I should be eating my calorie needs in healthy foods and incorporate exercise, and thought 'wow that makes sense'... Oh how naive that sounds!!
I am now doing the couch 2 5k (I'm on week 3) and do regular zumba, I eat much more healthy and try to get my 1200 at least. I found it a little tricky at first, as I was just so used to not eating anything! But it's getting easier, as my appetite is returning to normal. One thing is, I feel much more ALIVE! I don't feel like I need a nap all the time, and I am actually really enjoying keeping fit and eating nice things. I also surprised myself by drinking 6 glasses of water yesterday (I never drank water before either) and it was easier than I thought. I just fill 500ml bottles and drink from them, instead of from an actual glass.
I'm quite new into this and so I am expecting to gain a little weight to begin with whilst my body regulates itself and my metabolism kick starts itself again, but already I do feel my body looks better in the mirror even if I haven't lost any weight (I won't weight yet, I don't want to obsess over it)....
I finally realised, what is the point in being skinny if you're constantly tired, weak and unhealthy? There just isn't any point! :-)
