Just because I'm curious!

Have you ever said you would never date someone for one reason or another but that's exactly what you ended up with?

I always said I'd never date a guy who smoked or drank excessively....or anyone under 6'0" (I'm 5'9"). And if he didn't want kids, everything was off.

My husband smoked like a chimney and drank like a fish when we first started dating and is only 5'10" tall. AND the kids thing was a major bone of contention between us (basically I told him I was having kids whether it was with him or someone else)...and he's the love of my life!

Since then (12 years together...almost 10 married) he has quit smoking and severly cut back on the drinking and we have 2 beautiful children. All his choice....not my forcing him to change (because everyone knows you can't change a man...right?!?)
