First Steps to Clean Eating?

Hey all! I'm just wondering, for all the clean eaters out there, what were the first steps to took to clean eating?
I'm getting married in 3 weeks (eeeep!) and somehow have put on 4 pounds in the last week and it's due to my diet I'm sure of it. I decided to eat clean (ish/as clean as possible) until then to get that weight back off in a healthy way. I just need to know where to start!
FTR- I don't want this to turn into a debate about eating whatever I want vs eating clean. I believe everything in moderation for slow steady loss, but to be frank I really don't have time for that at this point.
I will point out that I don't want to crash diet or a quick fix, but I know that eating more cleanly will help me drop the pound or two of real excess weight I gained recently.

First step? I'd say probably cutting out as much processed food as possible and eating whole food sources.0

I am by NO means an expert (so nobody bashes me) but if you can't grow it, pick it or kill it, don't eat it. So reducing your intake of anything processed would be a start. I stick to veggies and meat, fish, chicken, beans, cottage cheese, fruits.0

I would start with cooking meals at home. You have total control over everything. Leafy greens, root vegetables, beans and legumes. Start small.0
