Leangains- Thoughts?

Okay, so i've been curious as I have some friends who do this program and I really want to know... Tell me the good, the bad, the full of bull****, the whatever your thoughts may be!
I see it advocated on here all the time that meal timing is a waste of time.
Is leangains effective simply because you eat larger meals within that certain timeframe and it is more convineant? (i hope that makes sense)
Is working out fasted or partially fasted (only BCAAs) dangerous? Does it affect how much you can lift/endurance? Does it actually help you lower body fat percentage as they claim?
Also, i work a traditional job schedule and i'm sure most of your do.... isnt this almost impossible? Or would the 2 small "meals" at 20% of your calorie goal before your work out even be considering intermittent fasting? Would this take away from the effectiveness of this plan?
Please give me any thoughts on why this does or does not work. I am 17.8% body fat looking to get down to 15%-16% and it is taking FOREVER and i mean FOREVER which is to be expected... but if this style of eating would help then i'd like to know. I see so many of you claiming success with this and it's making me curious.
Please forgive any stupid questions or partial thoughts as i'm doing this on my phone.

Even if that were true, which I doubt, anyone can train fasted without doing IF.I'm not aware of any metabolic advantage with IF.
