New, and struggling

I'm 18 years old and want to get back in shape SO bad. Unfortunately throughout high school I got injured a lot and was on crutches every single year. I had hip surgery, and now have an SI joint out of place and a pinched sciatic nerve. I try to get in the gym, and even try to bite through pain but there's only so much I can do. I try to eat healthy, and get i the gym but the numbers just don't seem to move. I have motivation and when I'm in the gym I stay for hours and I just don't want to leave. I love that "runners high". I used to be really athletic, was in soccer ,basketball, indoor soccer, and cheer, sports were my life. I'm 5'6 and weigh 185, and want to get down to 160 by my 19th birthday (August 8th). Unfortunately, the numbers still refuse to move. I now wear a size 12 jean, and I want to be at my size 7/8 again ):
