Had an epiphany!

The penny has finally dropped - I am so totally pissed off with everyone today & I haven't reached for the biscuit tin or a cake or a bag of crisps! I have actually realised that food will not help with the situation it's like a light has been switched on.

This has never happened to me before, normally I start a diet, get depressed or angry or fed up & start eating crap again it's always someone else's fault & never mine - but now I know it's my fault I got fat, who'd've thought LOL

Still need a hitman to deal with the other problem though :)

Reminding myself that I've never met a man (or woman) yet worth going to prison for has saved my *kitten* a number of times. Lol.

I hear that! Those people that just get right under your skin are not helping matters. I'm glad you found that switch today; it'll remind you of how you are in control of what you take into your body. It may sound really lame or highly unrealistic, but if I'm in a bad mood and feel like eating everything in sight, I'll burst out into song and do a little dance...don't judge me! If I force myself to feel good and get distracted for just a moment, I can give myself that little bit of peace that will make me ignore the bad things going on.

    Wonderful

As they say, if hunger is not the problem, food is not the solution :)

I like that, I may use it as my new motto, my old one was 'I am not hungry, but I am bored, so I shall eat'

^^This exactly. There are couple people walking the earth today ONLY because I don't want to go to prison.

Lately I've used my workouts to disolve my anger when I get bent about something. It works for me and I get the benefits of a great workout.

Good for you! I had a similar epiphany 2 days ago, after a huge fight with my spouse. Normally I would dive head-first into a bag of jelly-beans... and I didn't! I didn't eat any junk food at all! I think it might finally be sinking in!

The cocker spaniel is just 10 weeks old and is helping with my fitness plan, my waistline is getting smaller by the day from all the bending over and playing :)

Two days ago I had a realization of my own, that pizza isn't natures best asprin for whenever I have a grueling day at work. I actually took just four IB profrins and went to bed feeling just fine. Now I just need to fight that boredom/hunger feeling issue

I remember the day I went for more water instead of food. I just couldn't wait til I was done working to exercise.

That's brilliant, not the bit about the fight but the bit about the self control...!

I'm sure recording everything (good & bad) is working for me.
