thank you !! I started the C25K 2 days a week, and then I also began the butt bible but I am on vacation so it is really hard to get those videos in Once I am back home, I want to run 2 days, lift 2 days and cardio 2 days (I actually miss the shred and it's only been 2 days !!
I think this is a wonderful workout and I am sure you will all have great results.. they key is to not quit.. you have to push yourselves and I know you can!!
thanks again for the compliments0 -
Ok, I found the 30-day shred on YouTube. I did it and I'm sweating gallons!! My left knee is injured so I did put a knee brace on. The only thing that bothered it is the jumping jacks. I can do some but couldn't do them all without stopping because I could feel some pain in my knee. Oh, I had to do very low-key knee kicks because of my knee. But I survived the first day!
The jumping jacks/jumping rope and side lunges hurt my knees so instead I do all butt kicks and punches for the cardio and leg raises instead of lunges.. no more knee pain and I actually burn about 50 more calories because I can do the cardio this way without stopping0 -
How do you all calculate the 30-day shred's calorie burn in the exercise log?
by what my polar ft4 HR monitor says
I log it under circuit training and just change the calories to what my HRM says.. for me it's usually between 330-450 calories each time. Since my stamina has gotten better I upped my weights so the calories burned have consistently been at least 340Ieach time0 -
Also I still have about 30lbs to lose but my husband took pics of me last night and even when I'm not flexing I can see oblique definition where there was none two weeks ago. That alone is motivating me, I've also lost 2lbs since I started. I don't do it everyday tho. I do 2 days shred, one cardio, 2 days shred, 1 cardio and then a rest Fay. That's how I'm said to do it in an interview she gave so as to avoid injuries.. Good luck and keep up the great work0

I'm on a second round of the 30DS. This was the first exercise I did when I started my weight loss 4-5 months ago. It was very tough the first go round as I was really out of shape and about 70lbs overweight. I decided to revisit the 30DS now that I've lost a little over 50lbs.
I must say that it's still a great workout and although it's a bit easier now that I've lost some weight it can still kick your butt. I also do 50-60 minutes of cardio daily along with the shred and use 10lb weights instead of 5lb.
The key to success with the Shred is to give it your all for 20 minutes. I seem to recall just barely making it through the 20 minutes my first time and although I had great results, I'm not sure I was giving it everything I had.
I'm now working as hard as I can doing the shred so we'll see what results I get this time. I'm currently on day 8 of level 1 and can see some good definition in my shoulders. I can't wait to get back to the planks to start strengthing my core.0
