Aerobic shoes

Hi folks
Have got myself a new pair of running shoes as was starting to get foot and knee pain with my older pair. They have been great for running but I used them tonight for my shred dvd and I'm not sure they have enough support for aerobics?
What sort of shoes should I be looking for? By the looks of Jillian's dvds they are all in k-swiss but I imagine that's more to do with contracts rather than what type of shoe is the best.
Suggestions appreciated.

My guess is that it's the fit rather than the actual shoe. While it's true that running shoes don't offer the most lateral support, they are generally fine for most people if they fit right and they are tied tight enough.0
