For the first time today, I felt like quitting...

I read posts all the time about someone gaining a pound or two and being upset because they thought they were doing so well. In my brain I say, condescendingly " Oh how little you know, gaining a lb happens all the time, don't obsess over it, you're being irrational."

and then today I gained 1.5 lbs. And flipped out. I look fatter. I feel fatter. I feel like quitting. I understand where these people are coming from now. Yesterday I ate my recommended calories and then burned 650 of them off at the gym..and I GAINED A POUND AND A HALF?!

and so today, I have officially decided that daily weigh ins aren't for me.

I have found that I am best staying far away from the scale and I only measure periodically. I try not to stress if I go over my calories because it all averages out in the end. Remember...this is a long process. DO NOT GIVE UP!! Add me if you need some added support.

    This.

If you can actually see a difference in how you look over a ONE day period (beyond eating at an all you can eat buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), it's all about that water retention. Nothing more to it.

Being/feeling bloated sucks. As soon as I wake up, I can tell if I'm not going to like what I see on the scale before I get on it, just simply by how I feel.
