So if you've read the Haiku thread, you know I'm having a fling with this smoking hot German guy who speaks 5 languages, studies aerospace engineering, loves good wine, and cooks amazingly well. He's leaving in 8 days but man, have we had fun.

He has made it a point to try everything he's ever wanted to, to challenge social norms, to REALLY live. It makes me wonder...how many times have I held myself back from doing something a little crazy? Something fun and outgoing? Something outside my comfort zone? What opportunities have I missed?

Now I made the decision that if I want to do something, I'm gonna do it.

Starting with sending a text to the hot Jimmy John's delivery guy telling him to keep having JJ's send the hot delivery guys out here. :laugh:

    wow, that is a really inspiring thought. i have been having a similar situation, except my attempt at the fling part is failing miserably, lol.

    I feel like you just have to let it happen. This happened pretty much on its own...went to lunch as friends, he asked me to dinner, we drank wine, fling began. Don't force it! Do your own thang and if it happens, it happens.

    lol, well my approach was to go to lunch as friends and ask HIM! buuuut he kinda didn't realise i was trying to ask him out, so we continued doing stuff as friends. hence a failed fling, hahaha.

    i did tell him today that i like him though, and cut him off mid-response to let him know i was telling him purely to tell him that i thought he was pretty amazing and that was all. he appreciated it. hahaha.

    an amazing guy can't pass me by without at least telling him he's amazing! *_*
