Weak knees and shoulders.

Well I went to the doctor today as my knees were still really sore from Monday's run. Apparently I have to strengthen my quad and hamstring muscles as my knees are weak. I have patellar tendinitis, right now from overuse. She said I can continue to powerwalk on the treadmill as long as I don't go too hard. She doesn't want me to stop though as I'm doing really well. Also my rotator cuff muscles are weak and so I have to be careful with shoulder exercises. She wants me not to do any shoulder or deltoid exercises till I strengthen my rotator cuff muscles. I feel like a wreck. This isn't going to hold me back though, I didn't do any weight training today, but will do my treadmill non running workout tomorrow. I found an app on iTunes that has a workout for walking, jog/walking and running. The powerwalking does get me all sweaty in the end and I burn about 500- 600 calories per workout so gotta be good!
