I'm really like the podrunner podcast, it's free and great for training upping your endurance and speed! Also, I second Kelly Clarkson Stronger! Great song! On my other "burn" playlist I have an hours worth of old school type stuff: Jump Around (house of pain) Show me what ya got (jay-z), Sabotage (beastie boys), bangerang (skillerex), stronger (kanye west), sweet dreams (the eurythmics), shut up and let me go (the ting-tings), fighter (christina aguilera) and a bunch of other stuff, but i've found i get the most burn/endurance w/ the non-vocal electronica podrunner podcast really helps my focus and to dig in:) happy running!

Most of my motivational songs have a lot to do with where I am in life...and are heavy on the "girl" power. :smokin:

But here are my current favorites:

    Kelly Clarkson, Stronger
    Katy Perry, Part of Me
    Beyonce, Run the World
    Jordin Sparks, I am Woman
    Carrie Underwood, Undo It
    Lenny Kravitz, American Woman
    Christina Aguilera, Fighter
    Taylor Swift, Mean.

I agree with all of the song choices from the previous posters especially Kelly Clarkson "Stronger". Also I love the following songs when I'm running:

Melissa Etherdige - I Run For Life
Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel
    Volbeat - Warrior's Call
Prodigy - Run With The Wolves
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me

    Just to name a few.

I have and LOVE Ricky Martin's "Cup of Life" - especially when he's singing "do your really want it? yea! do you really want it? ya!"

    I also must have:
Jennifer Lopez - Let's Get Loud
Beyonce - Ring the Alarm, Single Ladies
Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl, Wind it Up
    Destiny's Child - Soldier
Lady Gaga - Just Dance, LoveGame, Beautiful/Dirty/Rich
Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be
    Rhianna - S&M

And lots of others - I really like the "old school" stuff from Bel Biv Devoe, BoysIIMen, and others.

    Good luck!

Soundtrack to "Run, Lola, Run!", which is a rather obscure German movie where the main character spends almost the entire movie running, with a soundtrack to match.

One suggestion I do too, is get an app like IHeartRadio, or Pandora, you can create a "station" based on a song you like.
I personally love hip hop when I run, and love the stations these apps create for me. Easy!!

"Roating Head" by the English Beats. It's the music that is playing when Ferris Bueller is trying to beat his dad&mom home at the end of the movie.

    "alive" by who's army

I used to run to music, and found out I was runnng to the beat....which was sometimes speedmetal.... so I would wear myself out

I got some military cadence. some are pretty funny, but the beat is great for running, and you can doubletime any of them with out falling!!

I use the cadence stuff in the beginning of a race to keep me on pace, then put the power stuff on towards the middle to end depending how I am feeling.
    I like
    sevendust "*****"
    Sevendust "black"
    and
    LMFAO Shots
    Lil Jon " Sixfoot sevenfoot"
    '
    try the cadence.

I wouldn't offer these suggestions to a guy lol but they get me going...

Independent Feat. Lil' Boosie and Lil' Phat
    Play by David Banner
    My Goodies by Ciara
1,2 Step by Missy Elliot feat Ciara
Get Low by Lil Jon and the Eastside Boys
In Da Club by 50 Cent
    Walk it Out by Unk

If you can't tell hip-hop beats make me want to move!

+1 for Podrunner (DJSteveboy). The beats per minute (BPM) tracks are usually in the 1-hour duration range. I've achieved my best event/race times using these tracks over the last couple of years.

    Good luck on the half!
