Emotions, Hormones and Motivation - A help or hinderance?

It's interesting how going through different things in your life change your emotions and therefore, your motivation to sweat it out. When I first started working out about 4 years ago I was frustrated with my weight but more than that I was mad. I remember walking upstairs to the DVD player or downstairs to the Bowflex and feeling such a burning inside, so much stress and migraines. Once I had Turbo Jam down the more I sweated & the better I felt. The anger was gone, I was exhilarated! The physical benefits came along afterwards, the icing on the low-cal cake!

Now my emotions are so different, I'm much happier and sometimes it's harder for me to find that same energy to get started. But once I do...and this time it's Turbo Fire...I feel the same exhileration!

I think with women it's even more important to stay with exercise because of the added stress of those attention-getting out-from-nowhere hormones! Giving yourself the gift of exercise helps SO MUCH with that!

What do you think? Are you at a point where it's a help or hinderance?
