I never knew how fast calories add up till I downloaded this app on my phone the other day. Now it's like an obsession.
My name is Nick, 33 year old father of two boys ages 2 and 1. I am not new to fitness but it's been a few years since I have done any regimented workouts. I was getting fed up of being overweight and embarrassed about how I look. I started with p90x and the nutrition guide along with it. I made it about a week and a half with p90x but the workouts were way too long for me to do since I was doing workouts at night. It was putting me in bed about 1:30am-2am every night and I have to be up by 7:30am. The lack of sleep was really getting to me. So the p90x stopped for about 2 1/2 weeks but I keep the nutrition plan going.
Last week I joined my local PowerHouse Gym and have gone the last 6 mornings in a row (they provide free childcare) to do cardio for warm ups and then a good 45 minutes of strength training. I have been curious to what I have been taking in for calories everyday and came accross MyFitnessPal on my phone while searching for a food tracking app.
Started my weight loss journey at 285lbs
Down to 255lbs
Goal weight of 210lbs
