Weekly calorie deficit?

I often come in slightly under my calorie goal, especially on days that I work out hard. Would it still be ok if I added up the week's deficit and use the extra calories on the weekend? Would this mess with my metabolism? Does anyone do this?

    I do that, it works for me. I go out pretty often and it would be too hard for me to hit the same goal every day.

    Some people say it's actually better for your metabolism. I don't know if that's true, I just know it didn't hurt my progress.
