Kit Harington is doing a better job with Jon Snow than he gets credit for... it's the HBO writers who are screwing it up.

Listening to the podcast makes me wish I could view this series - but not when the grandchildren are staying (not with my wife in the room). Never quite worked out whether to love or hate Tyrion. (I am assuming the last post was a 'Thrones reference)

My love of Tyrion outweighs my disappointment with some of his actions--same for Arya. Tyrion's chapters in the books are some of the very best of the writing in my opinion. The show has been uneven--season 1 was great with a little too much sex, season 2 was not as good and with loads of utterly, comically gratuitous sex. Hoping season 3 gets back on track. And hoping GRRM is able to churn out at least one more book before his heart explodes in a rain of ground beef and self-satisfaction.

Perhaps marriage is good for the soul since our son's wife made him send my wife the first Mothering Sunday card he has given her - and chocolates - since he left Middle School.

V-card, have you ever heard your teenager refer to their virginity in this manner?

You have to sit in a queue and come from long-lived family to get one over here

Zippers can really surprise you if you put on your pants straight out of a hot dryer.

Okay, I'm going to do it to you again, because seriously, if you aren't either being presented with evidence of spring this week or fantasizing wildly about the first blooms yet to come and drag you out of the long frigid winter, there might be something a little wrong with you.

TOPIC: flowers/plants/trees, by either common (colloquial) names or botanical ones. If you're drawing a blank, remember that a lot of food started out as plant life. Extra points if they are springy.
