Okay, I started my 33rd birthday off right! I went for a walk/run. I wish I could start every morning off that way. Maybe I should!
I talked to DH last night about the candida diet and he actually said, "Maybe you're on to something." Usually he thinks "Here she goes again." But when I told him that my toe problem is probably related to the yeast problem, he then said that since I have been feeling bad for years that this could be why. Regardless of whether this works or not it will help me start eating healthy again and get over some of my cravings for junk.
We went out to have my birthday dinner last night. I pigged out. It was really good though. I woke up this morning realizing I just don't want to eat like that anymore. Give me a week and I'll be screaming for a burger.
Today is horse therapy, go to the farmers market, work on a meal plan and grocery list, and some usual daily stuff.
That's it I guess.

and Happy Canada Day! I'm taking a day off, officially, but I might go for a walk later if there isn't rain (there's probably going to be rain, though).
I'm going to put in my hour of project work a little later. I actually found a paper I wrote forever ago that might have some recyclables in it (in the thirty pages, there might be about 5) I really want to finish this thing before September, so that I can move on to the next thing, in spite of my advisor changing the assignment on me. (:grumble: )
Also, resisting the temptation to eat more raw brownies. I'm actually overdue for my lady time (no, not pregnant) and my chocolate cravings are over the top. Had date night at home last night and only went over by 94 calories, so woot!

Happy happy birthday, MM! And happy Canada Day, V! And happy July! :laugh: Way to go on getting your new year off to a good start, MM. I hate getting up early to exercise, but I also start to resent going to the gym after work in the summer - when it's nice and bright out, I want to be out! So I am considering trying morning exercise again. The problem is that unless I can get to sleep early, it will be tough.. and I can't get to sleep early unless hubby goes to sleep early... etc etc.
I am still a little sleep-deprived, but I had a really nice visit with my friend so it is definitely worth it. I have to take him to the airport and then come back to work, so I probably won't get an official work out in today because it will be late when I finish up. Then I need to go and see if I can find some dance shoes.
V, I would love a bellydance buddy. My sister-in-law has gotten really into it the past several years, even competing and teaching classes - but she lives in Oregon. I can see getting lonely if I don't have any friends in the class, but I am hoping it will be a nice group. I am going to go look for shoes today - I feel like my feet start popping/cracking when I go barefoot, even just walking around the house (although I do it), so I doubt I would be comfortable dancing without my orthotics.

Hmmm... it's getting a little quiet around here. And I am realizing that spending hours on my laptop is probably not contributing to my health or productivity in any positive way. Didn't I say something about going to bed early? Ack!
Looking forward to a long weekend. And thinking I need to unplug a bit... or a least set a timer for how long I will spend online.
