You're looking awesome! I love you in the lifting photos, you look like an olympic weightlifting champion :-)

Flattery will get you far around here. ;P

... Your determination is not tested when this journey is easy. It’s tested when it’s difficult. When everything in your life is just telling you to give [edit] up. But you do it anyways despite that.

This one statement made reading these boards well worth it. I also love your statement about not wallowing in the past.... One of my mantras is "I can't fix yesterday" and it's corollary, "but I can change tomorrow, by changing today"... You are changing tomorrow.. Never allow a setback to define your future. You are well on your way. Take it one day at a time. Balance your cardio with your weight training and eat sensibly... You are on your way toward a new you.

Just on a personal note... I have another friend who I've known since his 3rd year of teaching... He started out much like you did EXCEPT, he never decided to really do anything about it.. His story to date is he was forced to retire last year after only 25 years of teaching at at least 14 different jobs... He was offered a job one year and the school board found out about his extreme obesity and refused to hire him. His health problems had caused him to lose so many days of work at the end of his career that he just could not work any longer.. He has lost some weight but still not anywhere near where he should be... He has both high blood pressure and diabetes (and has already lost a toe due to it)...

All that to say, what you are doing now, will affect your future. I for one would much rather follow your path rather than the one my other friend has followed. After a while one finds that their ability to change is inhibited by their physical ability to make those changes... Continue to do what you are doing while you are young enough and fit enough to do what it takes.
