Garmin 110 ?

Hello, anyone here own and use the Garmin 110 ?
eg,
http://www.amazon.fr/Garmin-Forerunner-Montre-sport-Version/dp/B003EGC36Q
It is a wrist GPS for running, to give your distance, HR, etc.
It seems to be the current choice for "simple GPS watch"
I happen to have actually a number of GPS devices, GPS watches etc (I work in the field) but we don't have one of these and I was thinking of getting one.
Any reports good or bad from current owners? Thanks. I run typically 5, 10, 15km, that type of thing on the road.
(Personally I currently just use the ancient "old-fasioned" garmin 401, which is the boxy square one. I find it has the "least annoying" interface / feature set, and it's the only one with a reasonably big screen.)
Cheers and thanks in advance, 110 owners!!

I have one, just upgraded to the 610 this week. It was great, simple and easy to use. I loved it, but wanted the extras since my training has changed - so i wanted an easier way to track intervals, hills and my heart rate. As far as the watch, gps and maps go - you can't go wrong. I'm not sure what's really different between the 410 and the 110 though.0

Thanks for the report! So no problem w/ batteries, the charger "clip" system etc? Thanks.
Are you enjoying the 610 - what is your opinion on the touch screen, in the real world?
I'd be interested to know what you think of the Virtual Racer and "partner" modes -- ?? Thanks!!
It is very hard to present that info in a clear simple way
Ad do you think the "training effect" feature is rubbish? Cheers!0 -
I have the 410 XT Forerunner. I like it but I've never had another device before to compare it too. I like how it downloads to my computer and shows my route, lap times, heart rate. I even wore it to boot camp and it gave me an idea of the distance covered in boot camp and the calories burned. My daughter uses an android app to do the same thing on her phone. I think runkeeper is the app she has.0

I had my 110 for a year and no problems whatsoever - my partner has one two and together they're both pretty accurate (when we wlk the dogs they beep the Kms at almost the exact same time!). Uploading it to the computer was easy too - and powering either at the wall or with the USB is fast. Mall round I think the 110 is a great simple watch.
So far I really like the touch screen on the 610. It took me a little to get used to it, it's not like the iPhone - needs a bit more effort, but I'm used to it now. I can even wear gloves (I live in Canberra and its cold!) and still operate the watch.
The virtual racer is handy and I can see this helping me mentally in my runs, however I'm not sure I'll be able to up the speed just because the watch tells me I'm slower,.... I tend to run as fast as I can, somedays just aren't as fast as others. No number on a watch will change that. The training effects and zones - I'm having some trouble with that, especially the HRM part - I'm not sure I know enough about them to utilize them well. I do really like the ease to swap laps, reset etc on the 610 alot more than the 110 - and the display of time, so if I want to have a 30sec rest before starting again its easy where the 110 I had to almost start a new training session or just hit pause. Didn't give me an accurate picture of my session when I did it that way.
Hope some of that makes sense!!!0 -
That is a fantastically useful report to me on the two watches.
Thanks !0
