Hi Everyone! I just signed up because I need help and motivation! Let me introduce myself, my name is Danielle and I live in Ohio. I have three children and after my 2nd child was born, I knew I needed to do something. I had gained about 20 lbs. and so I joined Curves and counted calories. It went fantastic, I lost about 25 - 30 lbs. and was incredibly happy with where I was at. Then I got pregnant again and was able to lose most of the weight after my 3rd child was born. Our local Curves closed, so that is not an option anymore. I'm currently 33 years old, 5' 4", and 130 lbs.
But now, I've slowly let the weight come back on. I have every excuse as to why I don't exercise or eat right, but I know deep down, they're nothing more than excuses! I've also gone back to college, so that only adds to my excuses! I know what I need to do, because I've done it before, but I just lack the motivation.
I've never signed up for a message board like this before, but I don't want to continue to gain weight and be unhealthy. Reading through some of the posts, so many people seem so nice on here, so I'm really hoping to gain some new friends and find motivation from others!

Hey! Good to meet you! I'm Carla and I just signed up too. I got on the scale this morning and I couldn't believe how high the number was. I've gained 22 pounds since last year, from 121 to 143 today. Wow. No wonder everything is tight! I'm 5'4'' too and have a goal weight of 130 for now, maybe 125 later. Usually I crash diet and then compensate by eating everything in sight. I'd like to take a more steady, long term approach this time. We'll see! It will be nice to have a buddy and friends.
I'm in Maryland, and I have two kids. I work full time so we're pretty busy. But I need to get on this - for weeks I was in the 130s range, but I'm still in shock at seeing the 4 in the middle. Ok, I'm on it! Good luck getting started and keep posting!0 -
Thanks! It's nice to meet you too Carla! I know exactly where you're coming from. My clothes don't fit like they did and I just feel out of shape. I've been around the 125 mark, but my weight flucuates so about 5 lbs, up or down, depending on the day. I haven't been dieting, but I will skip meals and then come home from work and eat everything in sight and then eat supper. My weakness is sweets - if it has chocolate, I'm eating it!
