NSV - First 10K today

Ran my first 10K this morning (done a few 5K's) and was quite happy with the results. Finished 153rd overall out of 397 runners, with a time of 1:05:10. My goal was to be close to a 10:30 pace (and not be last) and I met my goal.

    Congratulations!! as someone who is so anxious to run a 5k ( I just finished week 5 of c25k today) a 10 k is a lofty ambition for me, but this is an incredibly motivational post and just what i needed to see!!

    Massive congratulations on a really huge achievement!!! and thanks for sharing your success , too..it does inspire others.

    My next 10K that I'm doing I'm aiming for a 10-10:30min/mile pace, as well. :)

    Just make sure you have FUN! I spent most of the race just watching the ground in front of me, saying to myself, "Just keep moving your feet". :wink:

    Great job, CONGRATULATIONS! I ran my first two 5k's last month, have another one scheduled in two weeks, and a pamphlet for a 10k the week after that is sitting in my laptop bag...I am just trying to make sure the weekend schedule is clear but if it is, I'm in!
