I know that sounds funny but I love fatty foods. I do really good for a few days than I have a really hard day or two and it kills me on the scale and takes what feels like days to get it off.........I am discouraged at the moment pretty bad! I have lost about 11 pounds in a month and I know that is pretty good but I hate the fact I have a hard time saying NO to food i want. I love my life and my childern i want to be able to run with and play with them longer than 10 mins. I dont know what to do or even where to find it in myself to say No!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any one that has been in my shoes and over come it please help me understand and find away to get past my hang up.
Please in need of some kind of guidance!

Have the food you want... just smaller portions of it!0

I know you mentioned "fatty foods", but I think I may need an example..
What, specifically, makes your heart melt?0 -
portion control is key. You can change a little bit at a time with moderation and alteration of habits0

I've found that by not worrying about the fat so much and just concerning myself with the ingredients...and using natural healthy ones, even real butter and cheese and cream cheese is better tasting, more satisfying and you eat less. natural fats like those and in nuts and such are things the body knows how to break down easily and are a lot better for you than the fake stuff that you might overeat in large quantities.0

Stick to your calories, and don't worry so much about fat. Fat is NOT bad for you. No food is inherently "bad for you." It's all about dosage and context. Sometimes, fatty, high calorie foods ARE the healthier choice, like if you burn an insane amount of calories at a workout and need to make up 2000 extra calories for the day, in that situation, a nice, high calorie, greasy, fatty meal would be a better choice than say, a low calorie salad.
It's all about planning, balance, and context. There's no such thing as just good or bad.0 -

This, absolutely. I love cheese and real butter. If you look at my diary you'll see that sometimes 50% of my calories are from fat...but natural, healthy fats which includes butter. I mostly don't go over on my calories, my lipid levels are healthy and I'm losing fat.0 -
Portions are key. I love cheese of all kinds. I still eat it every day, but now I weigh out one ounce cubes in advance, so that I'll stick to an actual serving.
Also, figure out places where you won't miss fat and cut from those places. I make a lot of roast vegetables, but rather than coating with a few tablespoons of oil (like the recipes say), I use a few teaspoons and just make sure that everything gets coated. That saves a lot of fat calories, which I can then "spend" elsewhere.0 -
If you love fat have you tried eating low carb? A lot of people lose weight by eating low fat or lo carb but not both. When I eat low carb I lose weight. It works for me because I love fatty food too. Try it.0

This, too. I always weigh and have one ounce servings of cheese maybe twice a day. I love the pepper cheeses...one ounce grated over veggies, for example, packs a lot of flavor and satisfaction.0
