Yeah I like the accuracy of weighing something. I use measuring cups too, but anything I can weigh, I weigh.

I weigh and measure everything. Always have. Neurotic, yes, likely. But I've maintained my weight for more than a year now... so I"m doing something right! It's honestly second nature now. Weighing, measuring everything. I have tons of cup and spoon measures so if one's in the dishwasher, I don't have the slightest excuse to not measure something!

I had lost 25 pounds last year by exercising almost daily and being careful with my calories, and I weighed my food every chance I could get. However, due to family and life stressors, I gained all the weight back and am getting back on track finally. Started to use my scale again, esp. in weighing out snacks (nuts can add up quickly!), proteins, and carbs. Eventually I'd like to get to the point where I can just eyeball fruits and veggies, but I think I'll still keep on weighing the high-caloric ones where 1-2 ounces makes a huge difference.

My food scale "tastes" everything before I do. Safety first :p

I measure everything unless I'm eating out or at someone's house, then it's just a total guestimation :)

Yes, I weigh meat, fish, cheese, nuts, avocados, chips, every time. I rarely weigh fruit or veg, except potatoes. I measure mayo or peanut butter, the one tablespoon of half and half I have in my first coffee in the morning, and oil.

I weigh all of my food and even count out the number of almonds I put in my yogurt every morning. My hubby has even started weighing my food for me when he makes a plate for me. His support really helps!

I do! It's a must to know exactly what you intake.

I get annoyed when a food in the MFP database doesn't have grams as a quantity option, if that tells you how often I weigh my food :p

I measure everything I eat. I don't yet weigh anything because I need to find a good food scale but portion control is a HUGE part of my daily nutrition. Trust me, it does make a difference! Many people overestimate portions which defeats the purpose of eating healthy foods. Even healthy foods contain fat and carbs and if you eat too much then it could add up if one is not compensating with exercise. (because one may not be counting)

I don't eat much without weighing it and measuring it at first. When you are out or at friends you have to do a guessamite, but that is ok too.

Last night and tonight I used my scale to weigh out my fried rice from the chinese restaurant and got my 1 cup measuring cup out to portion my General Tsao's chicken. It really helped me and the portion I could have was plenty! I would have eaten it until it was gone previously, now I'm using my head (and my scale)

Yep. Still doing it a year into it. Makes logging things easier and more accurate.

Me too. Measure and weigh everything, except when eating out, of course.

Always. I didn't start losing weight until I bought a food scale and started weighing everything.

I measure most things, but when it comes to things like cauliflower or garlic cloves I just eyeball it. Super low calorie foods aren't an issue for me. I have measuring spoons, measuring cups and a digital food scale.

Although I sometimes get confused as to whether 8oz should be measured in a measuring cup or weighed on the scale. Is it always the same?
