Hi!

I've set my goal to loose about 2.5 stone. I don't really do 'weight' and can't really imagine what that would actually be so I don't know if it is actually too much but I read somewhere that people do better on fitness/weight loss regimes if they aim to loose more than they actually want to so that's my approach. When I get to where I want to be I'll stop trying to loose and start to just maintain it.

I've never dieted, counted calories or exercised to loose weight before so this is all new, a bit confusing and scary! And typing in your food intake... very scary!!! Now I'm started to realise HOW I'm overweight. I've set my profile to public to give me some motivation.

But I have a couple of questions and I don't know where they would go on the forum so I hope it's ok to ask here:
1) Most days I carry carry my large 18m old (I don't drive or use a pram). Should I log that somewhere? Is it not like some sort of weight training? <shrug>
2) I'm breastfeeding. That will affect my calory intake. Is there a way I can log that?

Thanks!

No. Only log actual exercise. Something that really gets your heart rate up and makes you sweat. Carrying babies and such should just be factored into your activity level.

I agree that carrying your children around would be part of your activity level.

I don't have any suggestions about breastfeeding, but I have seen a couple threads of women discussing it! You can just use the "Search" feature and type 'Breastfeeding Calories' or something like that. This one here might be kind of helpful though: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/540304-adding-back-breastfeeding-calories-thoughts?hl=breastfeeding+calories&page=1#posts-8087836
