Hi everyone. I've been stuggling with the same 20-25lbs for years now and finally decided that this was it. I had to get rid of it. So I set my sights on a 10 mile run that happens in a couple of months as my motivation. Its been almost 2 weeks and its hard. I love carbs & sugars. And of course there were a few slip-ups. But I want to finally do this and stop wishing that my spare tire would just disappear. A friend of mine suggested this website that would give me guidance and support. So hello everyone.

    welcome!

This site has been great and everyone is so helpful and motivating! Running is a great exercise and I love it. I try to run everyday.... "Running lets me escape the craziness of life for a little while every day"

Once again welcome and feel free to add me to your friend list... I could always use a Canadian buddy, I live in the states, but am from Quebec.

    Hi Melanie,

My name is Regina. Thanks for the welcome. Nice to meet a fellow runner.
Not sure yet how to add you as a friend. But I'll figure it out.
The site looks great. Lots of info and friendly people. Just what I need.

Hey Reggie, you can do it. I'm not Canadian but I'm a Alaska boy transplanted to the lower 48 for the last ten years. You're on the right track if you're using MFP to help you get food and exercise where you want it. Oh, I'm a runner too.

    Good luck!!

    Hi Regina and Welcome....

There is lots of support here, in every form you could image. And there are lots of Canadians as well. I'm in southern Ontario.

It is tough, no doubt about it. I've been using the site since November and have yo-yo'd quite a bit. But I feel like I'm back on track right now.

So good luck to you. You can do it.

Feel free to add me if you'd like.

    Jen
