Pre and Post Workout Meal Suggestions

Hello,

I need suggestions on what to eat before and after my workout to enhance my performance and overall health.

I hear that eating protein and carbs before a workout is good fuel and that after the workout ends you should try to eat protien within an hour to feed and relieve your muscles.

This is currently some of the choices I may eat before a workout:
Cereal with Unsweetend Almond Milk
Oatmeal with Unsweetend Almond milk, 1/2 banana, 1/2 tsp chia seeds
Larabar or Lunabar of some sorts

After my workout I generally eat 0% vanilla or honey greek yogurt around 110-140 cals or make a Click protein shake with 1 Cup Almond Milk and ice. I like the Click protein powder as it's only 120 calories per serving and tastes good. Adding the Almond Milk makes it around a total of 160Kcals.

I generally try to keep my calorie intake around 1400 on days I don't work out and 1500 on days I do. I'm just 5lbs from my goal weight :)

I just need suggestion or new ideas on what I can do. Thanks!
