I started it a few months ago and same as you, I got bored after day 5 but had lost 2lbs. I've just started it again after seeing a lot of peoples before and after pictures and really want to stick to it. I lost 2lbs this week after a long plateau and can already see a change in my arms so that's my motivation for sticking to it.0

For those who have tried it, is it heavy going on the knees? I have seen a few posts in this thread saying they rested due to knee issues and while I would like to try something like this, Insanity, P90X or the like, I am wondering whether the knee surgery I had a year ago (repair to a ruptured (yes, torn completely off!) right quad at the patella tendon) will make it or all of them a no-no.0

I notice it has made me much fitter - going for a run is much easier since I did the 30DS. Also stronger and body shape starting to change0

Keep at it.. I never used it for 30 consecutive days but I alternate it with Running.. Try 4 days a week and Do cardio the other 3.. It is not for scale loss, But fat loss, toning and and increasing/building muscle.. A key to really changing you body is to increase the amount of hand weights you are using, if you start with 3lb dumbells for example and after 2 weeks it no longer seems difficult to do the weight exercises, then up to 5lb dumbells, and so On, When I do it now, I am using 10 pound dumbells.. Its hard yes, can I do as many reps as she requires w/out rest NO! But In doing the lunges and squats just with the large amount of weight, Oh my goodness are my legs getting stronge and toned! Just don't keep doing the same thing.. Keep uping the weights, Don't replace your current cardio with it, But supplement, it will elimate the boredome of everyday.. Plus you give your muscles a day to repair inbetween which is still burning fat and calories : ) Kudos to you, you can Do it!0

I've tried 30DS a couple times the last two years. I'd get through the first 3-4 days and have to stop for one reason or another. Started again on May 1st and I'm determined to stick it out to the end. It is hard, but it isn't nearly as hard as it was before because I've been working out daily since early February. I can already tell a difference in my endurance. My thighs and abs are stronger after only 5 days. I may not move on to level 2 after 10 days, maybe 15 days instead. I've heard level 2 is the hardest but I'll get through it with modifications as needed. Helps to have my Polar to make it all a calorie burning game.0

I workout pretty regular ..My main focus is weightlifting..However, I decided to try this ..So it was nice to hear the responses. not looking to drop weight, just firm. And it sounds like that worked for some. So today will be day 1 of 30ds. So if anyone is starting or in the 1st week, we should keep in touch to complete the 30 days:-)0

I just finished Level 2, Day 8. The first 3 days of level 1 I thought I was going to die - really die! My heart pounded so hard the whole way thru. I weigh 208 and have used the treadmill & elliptical for years but this workout was way different. I am glad I hung in because I am getting stronger & stronger. I take a few days off here & there but I am determined to finish. I have bad knees but this workout has not hurt them. Have not lost weight but am losing some inches.0

Hello Can I ask if anyone started this feeling that they had poor levels of fitness and strength and how you found it - did you manage? I have just ordered it online. I am 46 and139lb and up to about a month ago did absolutely NO physical exercise at all. I bought a treadmill about a month ago and have been using it for an hour + most days every week (very brisk walking and a little bit of running), but I have always felt that I have very poor physical strength (I know...maybe if I had done some exercise!!! lol!). I made a big decision yesterday to buy it having stopped myself several times because I was not sure I would have a hope of tackling it. I am positive and determined...I have made huge changes since I started in at mfp September, but I would just love a bit of reassurance that it is possible to start from almost zero and manage this. Has anyone done this that could tell me how they found it. Thank you if you can post a little about your experience.
I had NEVER worked out before I started this. EVER. The only weight I ever lifted was my kids lol. It was tough at first, but I could feel my endurance and my strength increasing each time I did the workout. You WILL be sore for the first 3 or 4 days, but it gets alot better, just push through. I started out using soup cans as weights (about 1lb each) and then in the 2nd week I bought 3lb weights and by the end of level 3 I felt that 3 lbs wasn't heavy enough. When I started I couldn't do all the reps of every move, but I did what I could and it just got better as I went. You CAN start at zero and you CAN manage to do this! You will be surprised what you can do...you just have to start0 -
Thanks amv1023...sounds like me...the only weight I lifted was my kids, but we have progressed now to where I need to be able to run around after them too, lol! Your reply has really been very reassuring - thanks for taking the time to reply.0

I started before and have yet to get past day five. I will say though, I have found that if you mute Jillian and put on some workout music, it's a lot easier and more fun than her screaming at you.0
